Maria
I was born and raised in Venezuela, a country where beauty, dressing well, and accessorizing are integral to our culture. Growing up, I was deeply influenced by the women in my family, who took meticulous care in how they presented themselves, with pearls always playing a central role in their image. This early exposure sparked my passion for jewelry and elegance.
What does Moti Mean?
In 2018, a trip to India deepened my appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of jewelry, clothing, and accessories, which later lead to the creation of Moti. The name "Moti," which means "Pearl" in Hindi, perfectly encapsulates my love for India and honors the pearls that are a natural treasure from Venezuela’s Margarita Island.
Our Colors
The terracotta represents Maria's stay in Marrakech in 2023 where she fell in love with the terracotta alleyways that she explored in Marrakech. The off white represents the purity of the pearl and the brown represents warmth and elegance.

Rooted in the beauty culture of Venezuelan women, Maria created Moti Jewelry, blending craftsmanship with inspirations from cultures around the world.

Attended our first pop-up and began sourcing some of our pieces from Venezuela, Colombia and India.
